William Ray Massey is a native of Aiken, South Carolina. He attended Clemson University and graduated in 1992 with a B.A. in accounting before enrolling in the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1995. He also earned a Master’s of Law in taxation from the University of Florida in 1996.

His professional memberships include the North Carolina Bar Association and the South Carolina Bar Association.

Ray practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, limited liability companies, S corporations, business startups and business acquisitions.
He and his wife Dana have two children, McCall and Stern. His civic involvements include the Child Advocacy Center and Cedar Creek Church.
